return to work: workplace locker
features & benefits
Adaptability & Flexibility of workplace Lockers
The idea of companies going hybrid, means they need to be ready for any changes that come their way. With the uncertainty and the need to adapt and respond quickly, the ability to change your locks from assigned, to unassigned and even add delivery (or exchange of goods) capabilities is unmatched to the enablement of your strategies.
This flexibility is crucial as the workplace begins to understand the solutions that best fit their needs during these times. For example, a business purchases a locker bank and allocated 75% to day-use lockers and the other 25% to delivery lockers. They quickly realized they needed more delivery lockers temporarily, so they shifted the usage to 60% day-use and 40% delivery lockers with just a few changes in the software.
Smart Lockers that know when they need Cleaning
Our smart lockers are easy to clean with no protruding locks on the front of the doors and the use of smart materials that offer antimicrobial options. Our locks can be configured so that when a publicly accessible or unassigned locker is done being used by someone, regardless of the time of day, that locker can automatically become inaccessible until the cleaning staff has had the opportunity to clean and disinfect the locker. Once cleaned the locker becomes accessible for use again.
smart lockers, smart materials
Consider different types of materials that lend themselves to cleanability and have antimicrobial properties.
- Laminates with antimicrobial properties
- Powder-coat painted steel with antimicrobial properties
- Materials infused with copper
- Solid-surface, non-porous materials with no seams
the workplace Locker System: Reporting for Contact Tracing, Usage & User Experience
The Metra software allows administrators the ability to manage and control all aspects of the lockers at any given time. This includes the ability to easily see an overview of the locker usage, specific lockers, occupancy usage, user usage and more. Easily audit the past history of usage for a specific locker. Real-time data allows you to see who is using the locker currently and in the past.
This information could help you problem-solve any reports of missing belongings from the locker, who last used the locker, or even help aide in contact tracing.
Manage Multiple Locker Locations
Forget about the hassle of managing multiple office locations with our smart locker system. You can have complete admin access to all lockers in any location. This means seamless integration and no need to reissue new employee cards.
Visitors can easily be integrated and allowed seamless use of the lockers. If you are considering a hub-and-spoke model, one system can manage all locations. Contractors, temp staff and partners with visitor management can also be permitted to use lockers with full audit reporting.
mixed mode workplace lockers for a unique User Experience
We know there is no one-size-fits-all solutions. This is exactly why our workplace lockers offer multiple options and user experiences that will best fit the user’s needs.
Our modotwo can be configured for temporary-use (where the system chooses the locker for you) or permanent-use and can be unlocked with RFID media and/or 4-digit PIN. For additional flexibility, our My Metra Key phone app allows you to choose the location, size, duration of using a locker in your accessible locker banks.
The modothree is the Metra Touch Display, offering the greatest amount of flexibility and customization. It can be configured in multiple ways when presenting your RFID media and/or 4-digit PIN. Self-assign the specific locker desired for temporary use, allow the system to auto-assign a locker for temporary use, or pre-assign a specific locker for permanent-use.
Touchless Locker Technology reserve your locker
Have complete control over your locker with our MyMetraKey Mobile App. A touchless experience that allows you to choose the location of the locker, the size and the duration of time you need to keep your personal items secure.
Once you select your locker, the app will give you the option to open the locker door directly from your phone. This reduces the amount of contact made with the lockers, creating a safer and more user-friendly experience.
Smart Locker System: Lock Types
Pop-Open is our default lock. This type automatically ‘pops’ opens with various HID media, allowing for a completely touchless experience. You can customize the speed at which the door pops open. A faster speed results in a wide-open door, a slower speed will simply crack open the door.
Push-to-Open is ideal if the readers are not close to the lockers or if you are not in arms length of the locker. When the locker is unlocked, the door will not automatically pop open, you must slightly push the door to open it. If the locker is not pushed open after a certain period of time, the locker will automatically lock itself.
Pull-to-Open locks have handles that you use to pull the locker doors open. Any card can be programmed to select a specific size or limit the selected height of lockers, reassuring that people with disabilities or other accommodations can access their lockers every time.
Locker System: API Integration
Most existing access controls will integrate with Metra, so no need to worry about getting an entire new system. The off-chance that it doesn’t, they can still integrate through card technology or readers. With our Smart Building Integration, you are able to control the temperature of the building, reserve meeting rooms, parking, pay for food and drinks.
Lockers Accept Third Party RFID Readers
As we slowly return to the office we are constantly looking for improved technology that will increase efficiency and safety. When it is time to upgrade and add new technology to the system, we can seamlessly integrate third party reader's into our locker system. Introduce new systems with ease without worrying about additional hassle or expenses.
Accept Mobile Credentials and 99.999% of the current RFID Media on the Market.
Smart Lockers are not just for Packages
Incorporate exchange of goods lockers into the same locker banks that you use to store personal belongings. Use for IT break/fix and other workplace items. Especially as workers remain more flexible.
With contactless package delivery lockers, the package is put into a locker and the recipient is notified via text or email that they have a package available for pick-up. When they are ready to pick up their package, they can open the locker door from a touch of a button on their phone, again minimizing the ‘touch’ of shared surfaces.
