Lockers can be assigned for visitor-use easily through the software and adjusted, as needed. Perhaps you are hosting an event, interviewing, having contractors on site, etc.
When allocating a group of lockers for visitor usage, set the system administratively so these smart lockers will be disabled after each use and flagged for cleaning. Once the locker has been cleaned, it will become automatically available for the next visitor to use.
Usage-based cleaning saves time, money and provides a sense of safety and well-being to your visitors and employees.
When it comes time to clean the lockers, cleaning crews easily access only the lockers that need cleaning via smartphone or with their employee (or contractor) badge.

Most conversations about how the workplace needs to change are around desking and seating, however one leading architectural firm is suggesting that the current reception area that we know today could turn into more of a pass-thru mudroom for employees and guests.
This mudroom concept would be a place for when employees come in to the building, they select a locker to use for the day, preferably with a touchless experience by using their badge, phone or wearable. They would put their change of shoes, a bike helmet, jacket or other belongings in the locker for temporary storage followed by washing their hands or sanitizing before entering into the main office space.
We have worked on a couple of projects that have started to incorporate hygiene stations connected to lockers in strategic locations throughout the building. The hygiene stations allow visitors and/or employees to wash hands, dispose of garbage, pick-up PPE (if needed) and store personal belongings. We have set up the lockers to be short-term use (unassigned lockers) and are contactless/touchless smart lockers that will open with a smartphone , employee badge or QR Code.
