At Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, there is a smart locker installation at their Z. Smith Reynolds Library. They transformed their old system into a flexible, contactless way for students, faculty, and staff to exchange library materials. By adding the smart locker bank in the University’s 24/7 accessible foyer, it allowed users to retrieve their ordered materials at their convenience. Through an integration with the University’s RFID campus ID cards, it created a streamlined and efficient experience for users, while providing a clear audit trail for the administration.
